What are Mini-Novels?
Mini-Novels is a term I’ve come up with that describes novella-style ebooks that are around 20-30k words each. Many of them focus on one central character and don’t have the complexity a novel does. As a result, there’s only one plot, few characters, and can be read in about 2-3 sittings for slower readers like myself.
These are also one-shot stories that I won’t plan a series around. Not only will these be easier for me to produce, they’ll be more frequent than my other works. For novels, I’d like to get the story down the first time, making sure everything is in order and the whole series makes sense. With Mini-Novels, I don’t have to focus on a grand universe and can tell an isolated tale in a short period of time.
Plus, I can potentially make 2 or 3 a year and price them higher at about 4.99 or so. You’ll get a full story for the price of a Starbucks Coffee, and for less in a year. How awesome is that?
I won’t have a lot to start off, but the catalog will grow as time goes on. The first story has a tentative Fall 2018 to Winter 2019 Release, but I’m shooting for the former. The second won’t be far off from that. I’ll announce a proper release date when I get closer to finalizing it.
This should give me a decent amount to publish while you wait for my novel. This is a new endeavor for me, and I hope you enjoy them.
