August 2019 Mid-Month Update

My first novella, City of Kaiju, is finally out! Available through Amazon and Books2Read. You can see a preview of the very first chapter here. Help support a fresh new author with a fantastic read this summer.
I have also launched a Patreon to fund myself and future projects for you guys to read. You can find it here. Any support is greatly appreciated and it comes with cool perks, none of which are pay-walled. All of my stories are available to anyone, Patreon or not, so you have nothing to lose.

Welcome to the first mid-month update. Every two weeks or so, I bring you the latest progress regarding my upcoming stories and the website itself. So, let’s begin.

Rough is nearing completion

The rough draft for The Daughter of Dragons is nearing completion. I only have a few more scenes to write and then I am ready to change the structure of the draft itself. Everything’s moving along nicely and I love where this is going. It’ll be different than City of Kaiju, but familiar enough that it feels more…me.

I have it scheduled to send to an editor around late September. My goal is to push this out in the winter time, so hopefully that dragonfire will heat you up nicely as you comfort yourself with a nice book.

Sporadic updates

So while I said last time that the Inn would be on a slight post hiatus, I have been itching to at least talk about something. It was actually my Birthday about a week ago and I received some wonderful books for me to discuss over the next few months. Including:

Podkin One-Ear

Skyward

Wings of Fire: The Dragonet Prophecy

Tempests and Slaughter.

I’m going on a massive reading binge like never before, and these will be up whenever I am able to get them up. I know most of you miss my reviews, and I am thinking of a nice middle ground so I can regularly post stuff again. I needed this break to refresh and calm my mind.

I will have the irregular blog posts going up occasionally. I have one coming up for what apps I use in my writing (and not just Scrivener). There will definitely be more to come down the line as far as blog posts and updates. Not as often, but hopefully, once my life is straightened out, we’ll return to our regularly scheduled programming.

Website clean up.

I am going through various sections of the website and cleaning them up. I will be updating descriptions of stories, making some stories easier to find and overall, improving the site little by little. It’s been a much needed change and I am slowly in the process of making unique pages for everything. This way, you can find all of my stories easily and all of the provided links (in case, you know, you wanted to buy my stories. Please? Pretty please?)

Anyway, that’s all for today. I’ll be back next month with some more announcements. If you liked this post and want to see more, I have a Ko-Fi page set up. Why spend three bucks on a Starbucks Coffee when you can help support hard-working authors like me? Every bit helps and keeps me going. So thank you, and remember, the inn is always open.
