Goals for 2019

My first novella, City of Kaiju, is available for pre-order. Available through Amazon and Books2Read. You can see a preview of the very first chapter here. Check it out when it launches, February 12th, 2019.

Hello, everyone. Welcome to 2019. It’s the year we finally have androids, flying cars, space travel, holograms, and 80s-style fashion trends.
I think I made that joke before. Ah well.
It’s time for another big goals list for 2019. I did pretty well last time. We saw the release of two short stories, Do Not Stare Into The Eyes of a Kitsune and My Cat Is A Monster, and next month, I’m releasing City Of Kaiju, my first novella. I have tons more planned, including my second novella, The Daughter of Dragons, releasing this Summer of 2019. I’ll announce a date in the coming months, but progress is underway.
Now that that’s out of the way, let’s get started on what I plan to achieve in 2019.

Send Legends of Eifalia to an agent

I hope to finally finish Legends of Eifalia this year and sent it off to an agent for publication. I have confidence that this story is going to go smoothly and I need to release this soon. I’ve spent five years on this project and numerous rewrites, but so far, I think I have a plotline I’m satisfied with.

For those who don’t know, Legends of Eifalia follow the tale of the brother/sister duo, Ethan and Nalia Alden. They live an ordinary life in a not-so-ordinary world. The crown prince of Sun Haven City pays a visit, and Ethan encounters this rude sun elf. They get into a fight, but Ethan’s mysterious power, invoked by a powerful deity long since forgotten and slowly transforms him into a dragon/human hybrid. This will be a middle-grade epic fantasy series with five books planned at the moment.

I hope to get more artwork for my main characters soon. This will be a fun fantasy series that kids and adults can enjoy. I hope you enjoy it when it comes out, eventually.

Publish two novellas and maybe a short story anthology.

In addition to the above, I hope to promote my novellas like City of Kaiju. I hope to also release two more this year, and maybe a short story anthology along with it, but the latter might be pushing to 2020 at least. As for the two novellas, I will get them out this year, starting with Novella #2, which I’ll formally announce next month.

I’ve also decided that short story anthologies will be themed so one might focus on exploration, the other treasure, and maybe a few odd ones like transformation.
I have a game plan going with numerous projects in the works. This will be the biggest year and with so many of you following me, I hope to give you endless entertainment.

Spruce up the website by adding cool new things, perhaps make it self hosted in the future

And finally, I intend to clean up this website within the next few weeks or so, updating web pages, organizing things and promoting new concept art for my WIP. I also plan to have this self-hosted someday and it’s been a huge goal of mine for a while. However, I suffered hefty setbacks, so that’ll be a little while longer. I did change the layout and make it more simplistic, so do let me know what you think.

That’s pretty much everything. It’s reasonable at most, but I do hope to hold myself to it. Thanks for reading. If you liked this post and want to see more, I have a Ko-Fi page set up. Why spend three bucks on a Starbucks Coffee when you can help support hard-working authors like me? Every bit helps and keeps me going. So thank you, and remember, the inn is always open.
